Broken Glass

Published on

A Broken Glass mirror still reflects true

Still, stranger does hide in this reflection of mine

The same ragged face, a fate rendezvous.

Yet what of our fates intertwined?

A ragged breathe drawn from fear of the sight

I feel my heart burn, the face stealing fiend

The same mellow eyes, yet glassy with fright

A picture so frightful only in dreams

Why have you come here? What say you to this?

To face the deep fears within a scarred mind

Yet all it may do is mirror my lips.

The reflection looking back is not mine

No, it is not I, there is no debate.

Yet I have become it, sharing our fate.
